The Cedar House

After falling in love with the Minnewaska/ Catskills area over 20 years ago,  and toying with the idea to build our very own sanctuary ever since, The Cedar House became a reality  in 2023.  Situated off Berme Road, between the idyllic town of Accord, and the hamlet of Kerhonkson (each a 5 min car ride away),  The Cedar House rests on 13 beautiful wooded acres. The "Gunks", Minnewaska State Park, and the Mohonk Preserve are only minutes away by car. The entrance (with parking lot) to the 3.5 mile long historic Rail Trail is one mile away. INNESS,  a luxury resort that offers a 9-hole golf course, is located in Accord. Westwind Orchard, Rough Cut, and other local restaurants, and several farmers markets and farm stands, are close by. Hunter Mountain ski area is a one hour drive.

The cedar house is surrounded by nature. Regular visitors include a family of wild turkeys, white tail deer, woodpeckers, and many song birds

Enjoy the great outdoors, watch the wild life from the decks, or chill in the Breezeway. Take a walk, or just enjoy a good book.
